TikTok DM
TikTok DM allows you to connect your TikTok Business Account to Cekat, enabling you to receive and manage messages within a centralized inbox. Your team or AI can respond, assign, and track conversations without leaving Cekat.
This integration is currently in MVP stage, meaning some messaging capabilities and interaction rules are limited by TikTok's API.
Before connecting, ensure your TikTok account meets the required setup. You must have an active TikTok account, and it must be configured as a Business Account (not Personal) to support the integration.
To connect your TikTok inbox:
- a. Go to Connected Platform
- b. Click the "+" button next to Inboxes
- c. Select TikTok
- d. Confirm your account type (Business Account required)
- e. Log in and authorize access via TikTok OAuth
- f. You will be redirected back to Cekat automatically
Once completed, your TikTok Inbox will appear as Active in Connected Platform and is ready to use.
Rules and Limitations
TikTok DM is subject to platform-level constraints. The following limitations apply:
- Business Account Only — Only TikTok Business Accounts can be connected. Personal accounts are not supported.
- 48-Hour Messaging Window — You can only reply to users within 48 hours of their last message. After the window expires, the conversation is locked until the user sends a new message.
- 10-Message Limit per Window — Within each 48-hour window, you can send a maximum of 10 messages. The limit resets when the user sends a new message.
- No Links / URLs Allowed — Outbound messages cannot contain links. Messages with URLs will be blocked by TikTok.
- Supported Message Types — Only text and images are supported. Video cannot be sent as an outbound message.
- No Retroactive Messages — Messages sent before the integration is connected will not appear in Cekat.
- Platform Sync Limitation — Messages sent directly from the TikTok app may not always be reflected in the Cekat dashboard in real time.
